I had the same problem when i started jogging. i sweat alot the the moisture destroys the remote/mic. after a couple of failures i finally made something that protects the remote/mic from moisture (even in the steam room) while still keeping it's functionality (you can even talk while its on without a sound muffle). check it out on ebay, just search "i-sweat"

----EDITED BY NAILERR----
Too much advertising! But sure, if people want to search for it, no problem

Although similar components, you are actually not referencing about the same product as this article is. The headphones I am talking about specifically the Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote & Mic. I'll add a picture to the article to clarify.

Although I am sure the remote control suffers the same sort of issues, the rest of the article will have no relevance to the headphones you linked to at all, especially the high sound quality.

http://store.apple.com/us/reviews/MB770G/A?rs=newest

these headphones fail if used in sweaty conditions, see reviews above, bummer. I have to carry a seconds set of earlier headphones that can stand up to wet, salty conditions. I can't believe that apple did not test them properly as most people use them for workouts. I brought them in for a replacement and they worked in the store as they had dried out. However they failed the next time I worked out with them. And now they work again when dried out. Duh. Apple should redesign and replace these headphones with some that work in the conditions people use them for. I feel sorry for the new nano users who need the controls on these headphones.
